Mr Hoffmann was appointed as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of the Manager in March 2025, after serving as Head of Property (SERT) since 2019. As CIO, he is responsible for overseeing SERT’s investment strategy, portfolio and development management, and asset performance across Europe. His role includes setting strategic targets and annual budgets, managing key stages of asset and development initiatives, leading leasing and customer retention efforts, implementing asset enhancement and capex programmes, identifying cost efficiencies, and delivering on long-term asset plans, including developments.
Prior to joining the Manager, Mr Hoffmann was Managing Director, Head of Asset Management Europe and a member of the European Management team and European Investment Committee at UBS Real Estate & Private Markets for 14 years, where he was responsible for the asset management of a €6 billion portfolio of approximately 150 commercial properties across 12 European countries.
Mr Hoffmann graduated from Dresden University (Dipl.-Ing. in Electrical Engineering). He holds a Master of Science degree in Telecommunications from King’s College London and a Master of Business Administration degree from Imperial College London. Mr Hoffmann is a member of EPRA PropTech Committee and a member of the advisory board of the proptech company Spaceti.
